Both individual child counselling and group counselling are powerful, but each offers different advantages for kids.
- Group therapy for kids is great for growing and practicing social skills in real time, building confidence and teamwork, and normalizing struggles (“Oh… other kids feel that too!””). In a small group setting, the child therapist can observe kids’ social behaviour and guide the group towards growth.
- Individual therapy for a child is great for going deeper into a their personal experiences, processing big emotions or trauma.
Many families do both, starting with one and adding the other as needed. We can help you choose the right path for your child.
